Time horizon
Your time horizon (or investment horizon) is simply the proposed length of time you wish to invest your money for.
Your time horizon will generally fall into one of the following categories:
- short-term (1-3 years);
- medium-term (3-5 years); or
- long-term (5-7+ years).
