What is meant by investor profile?

Your investor profile (also known as risk profile or risk tolerance) describes your attitude towards risk, and your ability to cope with fluctuations in the value of your investment and the returns it delivers.

Some investors are quite comfortable with short-term market fluctuations as they’re more focused on long-term performance, while others observe such market movements closely and are concerned by even small devaluations.

Generally, your investor profile is linked to your age, lifestyle factors (e.g. personal goals), income, assets and liabilities, and your investment time horizon.
